Vehicular damage on Lower Green Felsham
At the recent Parish Council meeting it was again noted that damage is being caused to the greens and in particular to Lower Green.
This damage is caused in the main in three ways:
1. Occasional joy riders driving over Lower Green.
The Parish Council requests that if anyone has information about this could they please report this to the parish clerk.
2. Regular parking, especially at school bus pick up and drop off, on the edge of Lower Green causing rutting, compaction and damage to drainage systems.
The Parish Council requests that in the interest of protecting Lower Green drivers needing to park do not park on the green but use the nearby car park(s), such as the one at the playing field or by the village hall.
3. Cutting the corner by buses, lorries and vehicles with trailers.
This has been particularly bad this year and contact has been made with one company whose lorry caused damage and compensation is being negotiated. The Parish Council requests that if anyone has information about damage caused in this way could they please report this to the parish clerk.
